Clearly Candace's Creative Space is Complete!
I am considering adding window treatments, but otherwise, it's done!
It's a been a great place to escape and get my creative juices flowing.

I'd like to thank every single one of you from the bottom of my heart for visiting and taking time to support the blog.  It's been a lot of fun for me to share this first-ever makeover and blog series with you!  As always, I welcome you to share Clearly Candace with others.

I've chosen to leave you with a verse that I have printed and displayed on my desk as a reminder to use my blessings from Him to reflect Him through my eyes, mind and voice.

"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God.  If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.  To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever.  Amen."
1 Peter 4:10-11

Keeping Him in mind,

  4. Love what you did, Candace! I have also used apple green in my home. I'm in the midst of re-doing some of the office furniture I've collected over the years - and am painting it black and will be distressing the pieces just a bit. Please tell me if you used any specific primer and paint that you'd highly recommend, as I just got done sanding one of the shelves, and am ready to purchase the primer and paint.
You should check out the craft cabinet I created out of some old pantry inserts photos on facebook under Michelle Missy Lewis Platt and pinterest under Michelle Platt (I put them back to back with very long piano hinge), added casters to the bottom, added two handles and a couple of locks to make it easy to roll around and move. I also added moulding pieces to prevent the items from falling off the shelves. I (like you) used jars for organizing and storage of my many craft supplies. I also added a place for my levels (which I seem to use all the time for many of my home DIY projects) as well as my ribbon, frequently used screws and anchors, beads, markers, pens, pencils, paint, etc....

    1. Thanks, Michelle! I used Rust-Oleum's Cabinet Transformations kit for $80. There is also a Furniture Transformations, which may be a better option for your project. They didn't have it when I started mine. These kits have lots of colors to choose from. It uses a deglosser, requires no sanding and has 3 coats, but one is optional (the glaze). I didn't want glaze for black. Just deglossed, did color coat and top clear coat. Mine is a laminate MDF office suite (not hardwood), so this was right up my alley. Plus, I HATE sanding, so I'm glad I didn't have that option. :) Made my cheap, out-of-style set look like a whole new one! I will probably keep it forever. :)

As for your craft cabinet, VERY NICE! Great idea and work! I'm not that creative to come up with something so useful! :) Good job.

PS: roman shades using mini blinds would be a great window treatment here in your space - you'll have to check out the apple green one I made from inspiration I got here on Pinterest - it would actually match your decor!!
